v1.1.0
MemoryVault Community Edition v1.1.0 is the first major feature update for the Community Edition. This release adds Open When messages to the self-hosted version of MemoryVault, allowing users to save personal messages for specific moments in the future.
This update also includes improvements to the Community Edition export, dependency consistency, and mobile navigation, making the self-hosted version more stable and reliable.
What's new?
The biggest addition in v1.1.0 is support for Open When messages in the Community Edition.
Open When messages
Users can now create messages for specific future moments, such as open when you miss me, are having a difficult day, have something to celebrate, need advice, or want to think about us again.
In-app recipients section
A section where all released vaults from other loved ones remain available. It contains all shared memories and Open When messages.
Improvements and fixes
In addition to Open When messages, v1.1.0 also includes several stability improvements for Community Edition.
Resolved module errors
Several files used by the app that were missing from the Community Edition export have been added. This resolves module errors when starting the app.
Cleaned-up mobile navigation
The mobile navigation is now better tailored to Community Edition. References to sections that are not included, such as the ideas page, have been removed from the mobile drawer.
Why this release matters
v1.1.0 is an important step for Community Edition.
With Open When messages, users can use their self-hosted MemoryVault for more than storing memories. They can also leave personal messages for future moments, within their own private environment and under their own control.
This release makes Community Edition:
- More personal
- More complete
- Better suited for legacy messages
- More stable for self-hosting
Updating
Users who are already running MemoryVault Community Edition can update to v1.1.0 to include Open When messages and the latest fixes.
